PORT CLINTON—State Representative Steve Arndt (R-Port Clinton) has received the endorsement of the Ohio State Medical Association PAC for the Ohio House of Representatives in District 89.
Arndt said, “I am honored to receive the endorsement from the Ohio State Medical Association. I share their passion for health care related issues that affect all Ohioans such as access to care and the affordability of coverage. In addition, I have worked especially hard as a legislator for the thousands of senior citizens who need long-term care and those who are afflicted with illnesses such as dementia.”
While serving as a member of the Ohio House, Rep. Arndt has supported numerous measures to promote quality health care for all Ohioans, including his work to curb the state’s devastating opioid and prescription drug epidemic. Additionally, as chairman of the House Aging & Long Term Care Committee and a member of the Task Force on Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Arndt has remained focused on healthcare issues facing seniors across Ohio.
Arndt is serving his second term in the Ohio House in the 89th District, which includes Erie and Ottawa counties. He previously served as an Ottawa County commissioner for 27 years and has also been involved with the Northwest Area Office on Aging, the Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce, Elmore City Council and other local government entities.
The Ohio State Medical Association advises state departments on health issues and advocates for Ohio’s physicians through medical liability reform, political advocacy, education and physician leadership.
